NEW DELHI, September 29: Trailing by two goals, APS (Ridge Road), staged a grand recovery to beat St Columba's School 3-2 to secure a place in the super league of 13th Limca Soccer tournament at Modern School ground here today.Narinder Shiva (2) and Sunil Chetri scored for the winners while Akshay Aggarwal and Royston Toppo were the goal-scorers for the losers.
Mount St Mary's also made the super league with a 3-0 win over Sawan Public School, Shikhil Suri (2) and Dallas Bastin being the scorers.
Frank Anthony made it to the grade with a 2-1 win over Gen Raj while Modern (Barakhamba) ousted their Vasant Vihar counterparts 4-2 in penalty shootout. Bharat Kharbanda, Bharat Sachdeva, Viraj and Rishab jain scored for the winners while Amit Mittal and Anuj Gupta hit the target for the losers.
The superleague matches will start from tomorrow.
