The translation of the policy has been done by the Directorate of Languages with a special initiative from the Trade and Commerce department of the State Government. Officials of the Trade and Commerce department feel the translated version of the policy will help the Maharashtrian youth to explore new avenues of career, which will help boost the economy of the nation.

An officer from the department told The Indian Express that the Marathi version of the policy will be released sometime next week. ``The idea was pending with the State Government for long time. We wanted to start translating the policy but waited for the new government at the Centre to announce its revised Ex-Im policy. Once we had the latest policy with us, we conducted departmental classes to thoroughly understand the same. About25 employees attached to the department worked hard and coordinated with the Directorate of Languages to produce a document which a common man should understand. I appeal to the Marathi youth to get a copy of the version and enter the field of exports and imports,'' the officer said.

The translated version is a 100-page document, which will be available at the Government Printing Press at Charni Raod. Priced at Rs 100, the document will provide necessary information about export houses and what a novice should do to enter the field of exports and imports. Cultural Affairs Minister Pramod Navalkar, who also holds the Trade and Commerce portfolio, has written a foreword to the translated version.
