EXPRESS NEWS SERVICE
NEW DELHI, October 2: Playing fast and attacking football, Galaxy Public School, Nepal scored a resounding 9-0 win over Mount St Mary's School to storm into the semifinals of the 13th Limca Soccer tournament at Modern School ground here today. The Nepalese team led 4-0 at the break. Raju Kumar Shretha (3), Deepak Limba (2), Deepak Limbu (2), Naresh Thapa and Rajesh Thapa were the marksman.

The win enabled the Napel team to top pool B with six points. They will now meet St. Joseph's School (Tamil Nadu) tomorrow for a place in the final. Mount St. Mary's finished their super league engagements with three points from two matches.

St. George's School, Mussoorie beat Modern School, Barakhamba Road 3-0 to top pool A with six points from two matches and will meet St. Alloysis, Jabalpur in the other semifinals. The winners led 3-0 at the break. Pankaj Gurung, Sandeep Gurung and Sidharth Thapa were the scorers.

It was a one-sided game right from the start, with Nepalese boys played with fine understanding and passing. They completely outplayed their rivals and scored the goals at will. Delhi boys failed time and again. The first goal came in the 5th minute of the play. A cross from left saw Naresh Thapa volleyed the ball home with a left fitter. There was no stopping afterwards with goal coming with ease.

Former Champions Moti Lal Nehru Sports School, Rai scored a face-saving win in the pool C super league, defeating Army Public School, Delhi 2-0. Both the goals came in the first half. Parveen Dahiya and Deepak Malik were the goal-getters.

In a match of no consequence, Rai team had a slight edge in the initial half. Parveen Dahiya gave them the lead midway through the first half when he moved in from right and despatched an angular grounder. Five minutes later Deepak Malik put the ball in off a cross from the right. Rai boys finished second in the pool with three points from two matches. APS lost both their matches.

St. Goeroge's School who dominated the match, forged ahead in the 15th minute through Pankaj Gurung whose fine shot from outside the box landed into the net. Another long-range shot by Sandeep Gurung fetched the Mussoorie team another goal. Siddarth Thapa scored the third goal in the fifth minute of the second half when he shot home following a move from the left.

Frank Anthony Public School (Delhi) held Pestle Weed College, Dehra Dun to a goalless draw and split points in an inconsequestial pool D match. From this group, St Joseph's (Tamil Nadu) had already made the grade.
