China continues to dominate Asian table tennis championships
China continued to dominate by winning the mixed doubles title through Wang Liqin and Wang Nan for their third gold medal at the Asian table tennis championships yesterday. The second-seeded couple put down a third Korean challenge of the day beating Lee Chul-Seung and Ryu Ji-Hye 21-7, 21-15 in the final.

Rios fixes Felix in quarter
World number three Marcelo Rios won a close battle of baseliners, beating Spaniard Felix Mantilla 7-6, 7-5 to reach the semifinals of the Grand Slam Cup on Thursday. Rios now faces an appetising clash with hard-hitting Australian Mark Philippoussis for a place in Sunday's final.

Turner lifts the cover off Kiwi cricket
Former Kiwi cricket coach Glenn Turner has hit out at the state of the game in New Zealand, lambasting some of the top players of his reign. After serving out a two-year gag, Turner yesterday published a book Lifting the covers which exposes a team he dubs the "superbrats''.
