October 4: Two baskets by S Prashant and one by A Chetan, all in extra time, helped holders Jhunjhunwala overcome RA Podar 37-31 in the semi-final of the inter-collegiate basketball tournament at Indian Gymkhana here today. Jhunjhunwala, who were trailing 17-19 at halftime, fought back to tie the game 31-31 before the whistle, taking the match into extra time.Podar failed to make a single basket in extra-time.
In the final tomorrow, the holders will take on a strong Xavier's side. Xavier's today decimated HR Commerce 41-11, after leading 22-2 at halftime.Results (all semis)
