HARARE, OCT 4: Leg-spinner Anil Kumble underlined his fine form with a 10-wicket haul to lead India to an innings and 71 runs victory over Zimbabwe Board President's XI in the three-day cricket match here today.Trailing by 244 runs on the first innings after India had declared at 400 for five yesterday, the Board President's XI were bundled out for 173, within 57 minutes on the third and final day today.
Kumble (5-35) was the wrecker-in-chief in the President's XI first score of 156 all out.
Resuming on 106 for 5, the hosts succumbed to the Indian spinners Anil Kumble and Harbhajan Singh, who claimed nine wickets between themselves in the second essay.
Kumble again proved the nemesis of the home side, taking five wickets for 18 runs in his 13.5 overs. It was an unforgettable match for Kumble who besides match figures of 10-52, also scored an unbeaten 100 in the Indian innings.
Harbhajan, who claimed 4 for 60 in the hosts' second innings, returned a fine 6 for 98.
Harbhajan struck in his veryfirst over in the morning claiming D Viljoen leg before for 21, the wicket falling after addition of only one run to the overnight score.
