Indian duo in final against Woodies

PRESS TRUST OF INDIA
BEIJING, Oct 10: World number three Indian pair of Mahesh Bhupathi and Leander Paes entered final of the Shanghai Open ATP tournament and will clash with top seeds, Australians Woodies, for the title tomorrow.

The number two seeds Bhupathi-Paes received walkover when dangerous combination of Brett Steven (New Zealand) and Patrick Galbriath (US) failed to arrive for the first semi-final match. The Indians now take on Todd Woodbridge and Mark Woodforde for their first match-up this year.

Bhupathi-Paes have met the Aussies twice and are yet to score a win over the world number one pair.

In the second semis, Woodbridge-Woodforde defeated third seeds Wayne Black (Zimbabwe) and Peter Tramacchi (Australia) 7-6 (7-2), 6-2.
