Final put off

NEW DELHI: Due to incessant rain, there was no play at the Heineken Shanghai Open on Sunday. The doubles final between leander Peas/Mahesh Bhupathi and Todd Woodbridge and Mark Woodford will, most probably, be played on Monday, according to information reaching here.

Meanwhile, Mahesh Bhupathi, Jim Courier and Jonathon Stark have been given main draw wildcards for the Championship series Singapore Heineken Open starting on Monday.

Central Rly win

GIDDERBAHA: Central Railway (Mumbai) defeated Punjab Red 60-40 in the first Raja Porus All-India Basketball Tournament being played here. In another match, Tisco from Bihar routed Indian Youth 69-49, while Punjab Police beat Punjab State Electricity Board (PSEB) 64-44.
