Murder case
The Navapura police has registered a case of murder against a man for allegedly killing his wife on Saturday morning. According to official information, Ramchandra Kahar, a resident of a slum area near Bathuji Maharaj Mandir and a labourer in a private factory here, beat his wife to death when she insisted that the accused buy her jewellery from the bonus money he was scheduled to get.Youth killed
In a incident that occurred in the Chhotaudepur area on Friday, a woman killed her son with the help of her neighbours, the rural police said. According to the police, one Ginubhai Rathwa, 25, a resident of Sihoda village, in Chhotaudepur was first hit with a pestle and then administered poison by the accused. The accused, Khavadiben, killed her son with help of Thavliben and Abhaysinh Rathwa, following a tiff with Ginubhai, the police added.
Thefts
Two cases of theft were registered in city police stations on Friday. The Fatehgunj police said that miscreants broke into the house of one Sudhirbhai Shah, a resident of Punitnagar Swati Society area and stole valuables worth Rs 58,000. In the second case, in J P Road area, the police said, miscreants stole valuables worth Rs 42,000 from the house of A G Khandelwala. The cases were being investigated, the police said.
Vehicle lifted
A Hero Honda motorcycle (GJ-6-Q-6132) and a scooter (GJ-6-N-6207) were reported to have been lifted from Jawaharnagar and Sayajigunj area, respectively, the police said.
