Case of rioting against 40
The Katargam police have registered cases of rioting and causing damage to property against 40 people over a clash between two groups of rabaris on Sunday morning at Rajivnagar near Amroli. According to a complaint filed by one Bhalabhai Rabari, residing in Gadhanagar slum in Amroli, Bhavji Rabari, Nagji Rabari and 14 others beat him with sticks and iron rods near Rajivnagar slum. He alleged that the accused wanted to avenge an earlier quarrel that took place on Friday. While both have registered cross complaints against each other, no arrests have been made so far. A case had been registered and investigations are on, the police said.

Burns death
Manisha Rajesh Gupta (20), a housewife residing at Jada Bawano Tekra slum on Ashwini Kumar Road succumbed to burn injuries in the Maskati hospital on Sunday. She was admitted on October 4 with severe burn injuries. According to the Varachha police, she was cooking when the stove exploded injuring her. A case under section 174 of the CrPC had been registered, the police added.

Woman dead
An unidentified 65-year old woman, who was found in an unconscious state near Kalipool in Ambawadi area and admitted to the New Civil hospital by the Akasmaat Nivaaran Kendra died on Sunday, the Salabatpura police stated. Raju Thakkar of the Akasmaat Nivaaran Kendra told the police that the woman was lying in a state of illness on the roadside. A case has been registered, the police said.

Vehicle stolen
A Hero Honda Splendor motorcycle (GJ 5 QQ 6000) was reported stolen from the footpath of the Central Bus Stand during the early hours of Sunday, the Mahidharpura police said. According to complainant Amit Panjwala, he had parked his motorcycle on the road behind the bus stop and on his return at 3 pm found it missing.
