CHANDIGARH, Oct 14: It was a day of endurance, stamina and consistancy on the second day of the IGU-categoried St Xavier's Northern India Junior and Sub-Junior Golf Championship at the Chandigarh Golf Club course here today.Delhi's Ashok Kumar with a gross total of 155 emerged leader in the under-18 category. He today carded three-over-par 75 with the help of two bridies on the last nine holes. On the opening day, his score was eight-over-par 80. Sundeep Syal (156) was one stroke behind the leader. On the second day Syal returned the best card of the day one-over-par 73. He had four birdies to his credit.
Chandigarh's Prince Dhillon continued to maintain his lead in the under-15 category with 169. Lakhan Singh (173) was at the second spot.
The girls competitions (three-day event) were teed off today and Irena Brar of Chandigarh was the leader with 84. Two strokes behind Irina was Jasmeet Sawhney and Guneet Rekhi (88) was lying at third place.

Mohali soccer S.A.S. NAGAR: The 11th Mohali Open football tournament, which was slated to be held from October 9 to 11, has been postponed and will now be played at the local Dussehra Ground from October 29 to 31. Entries close on October 25 with M/S B K Flour Mills, SCF 1, Phase II here.
Eminent soccer stars of the yesteryears Jarnail Singh, Inder Singh, Sukhi, Harjinder Singh and Parminder Singh would be honoured during the championship.
