Caring to light up their lives

UNITED NEWS OF INDIA
MUMBAI, OCT 16: Cancer could not kill the spirit of celebration among the 300-odd children, who had gathered at the Tata Memorial Hospital here for the annual `Diwali party' hosted by V Care, a support group for cancer patients.

The function called `Celebration of life -- a salute to children ailing from cancer' brought smiles on the faces of the ailing children.

They even danced to the tune of the song O o jane jana from the film Pyar kiya to darna kya.

V Care volunteers and cancer survivors dropped in the hospital to wish the children. They distributed hampers containing sweets and toiletries donated by well-wishers as part of V Care's `Share-a-celebration'.

Brian Fernandes and his dance troupe entertained the children. Television actress Mandira Bedi of Shanti fame also spent time with the children.
