Srinath launches himself with victory at Satellite
For Prahlad Srinath, a firm resolve has borne fruit in terms of points. Victory in the first leg of the three-leg plus Masters series of the ITF Satellite Circuit today will push the 24-year-old up the ranking ladder where he is, at the moment, perched at No 541.

Anwar, Ijaz provide strong reply
Australian captain Mark Taylor hopes to win the second Test were dashed by Ijaz Ahmed and Saeed Anwar who hit centuries in a 211-run second-wicket stand. At the close of the third day Pakistan were 329 for two in reply to Australia's first innings 599 for four.

Rios, Woodforde in Singapore final
World number three Marcelo Rios of Chile whipped Jim Courier 6-2, 6-1 to set up a final against Australian veteran Mark Woodforde at the $700,000 Singapore Open. His victory set up an intriguing clash today with Woodforde.
