Centre help sought on paddy loss

PATIALA, Oct 20: The Punjab unit of the Bharatiya Janta Yuva Morcha (BJYM) today appealed to the Union government to come to the rescue of Punjab farmers who have faced heavy losses due to rains, a press release of the morcha, said.Pradesh vice-president of the morcha Bhai Paramjit Singh appealed to the Union government to arrange for the early release of soft loans for farmers and early implementation of agriculture insurance planning. The morcha also urged the government to constitute a panel of agriculture and meteorological experts to take a decision regarding the changing environment.
