Worli SC scrape through to semis

MUMBAI, OCT 22: Worli Sports Club registered an exciting five-run victory over Aarey Cricket Club to make the semi-final grade of the Bharat Petroleum under-14 cricket tournament at the Worli SC ground today.

Needing 129 in the stipulated 25 overs Aarey were well placed at 95-2 after 19 overs. However, left-arm spinner Vishal Dabholkar swung the match Worli's way claiming three wickets in quick succession.

National CC too made the semis routing Dadar Parsee.

Worli SC 128-6 in 25 overs (Rahul Sawant 27, Shravan Chhabria 46 n.o; Rohan Saldanha 2-24, Akshay Girap 2-15) bt Aarey CC 123-8 in 25 overs (Devdutt Joshi 35, Rohan Saldanha 17,; Vishal Dabholkar 3-24). Man of the Match: Shravan Chhabria.

Dadar Parsee Colony 38 in 21.5 overs (Parag Madkaikar 3-1) lost to National CC 41-1 in 9.3 overs (Hiren Shah 22 not out). MoM: Parag Madkaikar.
