Robin Jr, Bhandari shine

ROHTAK, Oct 22: The combined efforts of medium pacers and spinners helped Delhi to skittle out Haryana for a paltry 139 on the opening day of the four-day North Zone Ranji Trophy cricket league match here today.

At stumps Delhi had wiped off 67 runs for the loss of two wickets. Delhi medium pacers Robin Singh Junior and Amit Bhandari claimed two wickets each to trigger a Haryana collapse.

Brief scores: Haryana 139 (Nitin Goel 34; Robin Singh 2-23, Bhandari 2-37) vs Delhi 67-2.

Kanwaljit cracks ton

JAMMU: Flaying an experienced Services attack, J & K's middle- order batsman Kanwaljit Singh (122 not out) took the host team to comfortable position on the first day of the four-day Ranji trophy match played between Services and and the J&K at M.A. Stadium, here today.

Himachal hit back

JAIPUR: Devastating bowling by Sanjay Bangar (17-4) and Murali Kartik (8-3) helped Railways dismiss hosts Rajasthan for a paltry 85 and then finish the opening day at 94 for two in the Central Zone Ranji Trophy cricket match here today.
