CHANDIGARH, Oct 22: For the smooth functioning of various community centres/janj ghars in the City, the Municipal Corporation has constituted advisory committees which will function for a period of one year.The committees will have the area councillor and the councillor living in the area, besides the concerned SHO of the area and the concerned XENs of Public Health and Building and Roads, as its members. Meanwhile, at least three non-official members have also been included in various committees.
Among the non-official members, Om Vashisht, Rattan Lal Goyal and R K Jain would be a part of the committee for the Sector 15 Community Centre; Hari Shankar Mishra, Ashok Sharma and B. D. Devsali would be members of the Committee for Sector 29 Community Centre and D S Sandhu, Col Amarjeet Singh and Ashok Singhal would be members of the Committee for Sector 8 Community Centre.
Similarly, for the Committee for Sector 47 Swaran Jayanti Jan Sewa Kendra, Mohinder Nath Nayyar, M S Chauhan and Mohan Deol would be the non-official members; Amrit Lal Mahajan, A P Gupta and B P Gupta would be non-official members for the Committee for Sector 38 Community Centre; Mohinder Singh, Dalip Singh and Babu Ram as non-official members for the Sector 27 Community Centre and J. L. Bajaj, Bhupinder Dhawan and Krishan Mahajan as non-official members of the Committee for Sector 37 Community Centre.
Capt S. Sajjan Singh Grewal, Ramesh Nayyar and S. G. S. Sethi have also been nominated as non-official members of the Committee for Sector 35 Community Centre, while Shavinder Kaur, Ramesh Duggal and Inderjeet Singh have been nominated as non-official members of the Committee for the Sector 44 Community Centre.
