PGDAV and DRC win inter-college cross country

NEW DELHI, October 22: PGDAV College (Evening) and Daulat Ram College wrested the Delhi University inter-college cross country (men and women) titles at Delhi University ground here today. The winners have been selected for Delhi University Cross Country (men and women) team which will participate in the All India Inter-University cross country championship to be held at IIT, Kanpur on October 27. The selected athletes should to report Dr S S Kapoor, athletics coach on October 23 at 3pm at University grounds.

Results
Men section: 1. PGDAV (Evening) 147, 2. Dr Bhim Rao Ambedkar 148, St Stephen's 161.
Individual: Raj Pal (DCAC, 40:3.48sec), Vinod Kumar (BRA, 40:25.36sec, Kulvinder Singh (DCAC), Purushotam Dutt (DCAC), Raj Kumar (DCAC), Bhanwar Singh (DCAC), Rakesh Chauhan (PGDAV-E), Rajat (Shivaji), Anil Baloni (IGIPESS).
Women: 1. Daulat Ram College, 27, 2. Kamla Nehru College, 58, 3. Maitrey College, 70.
Individual: Sunita Singh (DRC, 22.22sec), Geeta (IPC, 23.9sec), Sunita (DCAC, 23.9sec), Neeru (JMC, 23.24sec), Sudesh Malik (Gargi, 23.24sec) and Swaranjeet (Art. Fac, 23.41sec).
