NEW DELHI, October 25: Layallpur Khalsa School (Jalandhar) outplayed Paradise Academy, Imphal 6-1 to complete the Super League line-up of the 27th Junior Nehru Hockey Tournament at National Stadium today.The winners who topped pool C with an all-win record, led 4-1 at half time against Imphal school.
Pavitarjit Singh, Parmeet Singh (penalty stroke), Tejinder Pal Singh, Manwinder Singh, Amarjeet Singh and Satnam Singh scored a goal each for the Jalandhar side. M.Saminderjit reduced the margin for the losers.
The eight teams for the Super League have been divided into two pools of four teams each. Pool I consists of Birsamunda Vidyapith (Rourkela), St.Ignatius School (Gumla) C.R.Z (Sonepat) and A.S.C Boys Company (Bangalore). Pool 2 has Army Boys Sports School (Danapur), Shivalik Public School (Chandigarh), Union Academy (Delhi) and Lyallpur Khalsa School.
Two top teams from each pool will qualify for the semifinals.
