NEW DELHI, October 25: Railways were comfortably placed to take the vital first innings lead against Rajasthan in their Central Zone Cooch Behar Trophy (under-19) league match at Karnail Singh Stadium here today. At the end of the penultimate day of the three-day match, Railways, who declared their first innings at 400 for nine, had dismissed half the Rajasthan side for 157.Medium pacer Asif Murtaza and left-arm spinner Syed Raza Ali, son of former Railways skipper Hyder Ali, claimed two wickets each as Rajasthan batsmen struggled against some sustained attack. Vivek Sharma (61: 10x4) and Vijesh Bhatnagar (59: 1x6, 9x4) made valuable contributions before suffering a minor collapse in the final session. Earlier, Murtaza (86), Manoj Srivastava (82), Kanchan Mathi (53) and Balram Singh (46) made useful contributions to the home team's total.
