Memorandum submitted
Students of the Faculty of Law, M S University, on Tuesday submitted a memorandum to Vice-Chancellor Anil Kane demanding that the admission procedure for the diploma course in Law be initiated at the earliest. The students further stated that the university authorities were not required to abide by the guidelines of Bar Council of India to do so.

Action sought
The Gujarat Paryavaran Raksha Samiti has urged upon State Forest Department authorities to take stern action against film star Salman Khan and actress Aishwarya Rai, if they're found guilty of poaching in Kutch. A Samiti press note said that the two had been visited Kutch recently for a film-shooting and allegedly killed animals there.

Reiki seminar
A second degree Reiki seminar will be held in the city on October 31 and November 1 from 1 pm onwards. Those interested can contact V C Chhaya at 173, Shrenik Park, Opp Akota Stadium or call 320473.

French course
The fresh batch of a course in French language (elementary level) offered by the city-based Europa Centre will commence on November 6. Examinations for the same will be conducted by the Alliance Francaise, Ahmedabad. For details and admission contact D Srinivasan on 794372.

Public lectures
The Krishnamurti Study Centre and the Theosophical Society will jointly organise two public lectures and a dialogue at the Theosophical Society Hall, Rewa Lodge, Nagarwada, between November 2 and 4. The lectures will be delivered by P Krishna, Rector with Rajghat Education Centre, Krishnamurthi Foundation, Varanasi.

Camping session
A three-day rock-climbing and trekking programme will be organised by the Adventure Academy from November 2 to 4. Participants will be taught basic rock-climbing at Pavagadh, followed by a trek through the Jambughoda jungle. For details contact the Academy at 46, Ashutosh Nagar, Karelibaug or call 426617.
