However, Kaypee waged a single-handed battle to carry the total to 150. `Mr Extras' contributed 31 runs. Fine bowling by Rahul Panta (5-28) and Nischal Gaur (3-22) restricted Haryana's total.

Chasing 151 runs for win, Himachal were skittled out for 102 runs with skipper Rajeev Nayyar remaining not out on 48.

BANGALORE: Karnataka began their campaign on a triumphant note when they scored a 37-run victory over Andhra in the Subbaiah Pillai Trophy one-day South Zone cricket league at the KSCA Stadium here on Wednesday.

Chasing 258 runs for a win, Andhra began with a flourish but choked in the middle and managed to score only 220 with medium pacer Dodda Ganeshsigning off the victory by uprooting the stumps of tail-ender Mallikarjun Rao in the 49th over.
