Case registered
The Songadh police of the district on Wednesday registered a case against one Salam Suker Patel, a youth residing in Dashera Colony slum in Songadh taluka, for kidnapping a girl and eloping with her. Mina Goswami, the mother of Rina (16), lodged a complaint in the police station stating that Salam eloped with the girl after promising her benefits. The Songadh police of the district have lodged a case under sections 363 and 366 of the Indian Penal Code and are investigating.

Suicide
A youth committed suicide by consuming poison after a domestic dispute, a case registered in the Palsana police station of the district on Wednesday said. Dr Massey of the Mahavir Hospital of the city told the Palsana police that the youth, Soma Thakore Ahir, died in the hospital on Wednesday morning, where he was being treated since Monday. According to the Palsana police, as Ahir's mother chided him, the boy consumed poison. A case under CrPC 174 has been registered at the police station.

Burns death
One Babyben Patil, a 20-year-old housewife, residing at Dabholi village on the outskirts of the city, died within an hour of being admitted to the Maskati hospital on Wednesday morning with serious burn injuries. According to the Katargam police, who have registered a case under CrPC 174, the woman was making tea at around 9 am when the stove exploded, burning her seriously. She was shifted to the Maskati hospital, where she died shortly afterwards.

Body recovered
The Udhna police have registered a case in the police station after it recovered the dead body of an unidentified 25-year-old youth at the Udhna Gaam bus stand on Tuesday evening. The police have sent the dead body for scientific examination to the New Civil hospital and have registered a case under CrPC 174.Electrocuted
One Rajesh Patel, (45), a resident of Moti Ved village on the outskirts of the city, died on the spot after receiving an electric current on Tuesday evening, the Katargam police said. According to eyewitnesses, who lodged a complaint in the police station, the deceased was repairing an electric meter at Kadarni Wadi in the village when he received the electric shock.
