Windies beat Pakistan by 30 runs
West Indies defeated Pakistan by 30 runs to setup a semi-finals clash with India in the Wills International Cup Cricket Tournament at the Bangabandhu National Stadium in Dhaka tonight. West indies, after setting a victory target of 290, restricted Pakistan to 259 for nine in 50 overs. The Caribbeans will take on India on Saturday in the second semifinal after Sri Lanla play South Africa tomorrow.

Quite celebration
Indians are celebrating. No pomp and show. The team members had a drink or two in their rooms in the Hotel Pan Pacific Sonargaon after their last night's triumph over Australia. Ajay Jadeja played a round of golf in the hotel's short golf course, while skipper Mohammed Azharuddin, Sachin Tendulkar, Rahul Dravid, Saurav Ganguly, Anil Kumble, Javagal Srinath and Ajit Agarkar among others were in the swimming pool, relaxing after a ``tiring effort''.

Rohtas leads
Rohtas Singh took the lead with a three-under 69 on the opening day of the Rs 28 lakh Honda SIEL-AGC PGA tournament, in Delhi today.

Indian challenge
This might be the worst field in a Satellite tournament staged in India. But that made little difference to the host country's singles players. Faced off against a bunch of young hopefuls from abroad, the Indian players wilted and bowed out at the Century Club courts on Thursday.

Shruti bows out
Down 2-4 in the decider, after dropping serve in the third, Montika Anuchan kept her cool and forced Shruti Dhawan to commit errors in the Bridgestone-ITF Women's Circuit Tennis Tournament here at the Yeshwant Club today.
