SHIMLA, Oct 29: Himachal Pradesh Congress Committee has resented the cancellation of pre-training test for the pharmacists by the state government to be appointed in the Animal Husbandry Department.General secretary of the PCC Asha Kumari urged the state government to declare the result of this test failing which the party would not hesitate to go to the court.
The Congress leader said the farmers were facing difficulties all over the state because hundred of posts of pharmacists were lying vacant in the veterinary dispensaries. She ridiculed the plea of the state government that it had no basic infrastructure to examine the test sheets of the candidates who appeared in the test. This was another stance of the administrative failure of the state government. She pointed out thousands of persons had been recruited in various departments since Himachal came into existence, but none of the state government had found the administrative structure inadequate and expressed its helplessness like this.
Asha Kumari questioned the validity of the preliminary test and interviews for the recruitment of laboratory technicians, staff nurses and other staff in the health department if the pharmacists in the Animal Husbandry Department were to be recruited through the recently set up Subordinate Selection Board.
Asha Kumari said more than 70,000 youth had appeared in preliminary test of pharmacists during the Congress regime and they were waiting for the results. She also said the government had spent thousands of rupees to conduct the test which would go waste.
