Ranjit, Anuradha reign supreme

MUMBAI, OCT 30: Ranjit Pawar of Aurangabad won the under-19 individual championship with 36.55 points with Satish Nimbolkar of Pune following him closely with 35.20 in the boys all round competition on the concluding day of the State Inter-Schools Gymnastics championships organised by the Maharashtra Amateur Gymnastics Association at the Andheri Sports Complex today.

In the girls under-17 individual championship Anuradha Bhinde (29.40) of Pune got the better of Sharvari Kulkarni of Aurangabad. Sharvari could score only 28.35.

In the boys u-19 individual apparatus exercise, Ranjit also won the floor, pommel, Roman rings and horizontal bar.

The only event he failed to win was the parallel bars in which he got second position. He did not participate in the vaulting horse event.

In the girls under-17, Anuradha not only won the individual championship but also stood first in the vaulting horse and balancing beam routines while her competitor Sharviri was successful in the uneven bar and floorexercise.
