Rabri targets IAS man; also books RJD leader in his wife's rape case

PATNA, Oct 31: Bihar Government has ordered departmental proceedings against senior IAS official B B Biswas, whose wife has made complaints of rape against son of a RJD leader, for allegedly making "irregular" appointments in the statistics department as its director during the period 1993 to 1995.The proceedings against Biswas had been initiated following orders by CM Rabri Devi, Bihar Minister of State for Planning and Development Vikram Kunwar said. Presently a director in the Department of Land Acquisition, Biswas is the husband of Champa Biswas who was allegedly raped by Mritunjay Yadav, son of RJD leader and former Bihar Social Welfare Board chairperson Hemlata Yadav, for two years in connivance with others.
