WASHINGTON, Nov 1: New York real estate tycoon Abe Hirschfeld has given Paula Jones $ 1 million cheque which she can cash if she settles her sexual harassment suit against President Bill Clinton.The cheque was handed over to Jones by Hirschfeld here yesterday at a news conference. The cheque will be held in an escrow account and before it can be cashed there must be a settlement to Jones's suit claiming Clinton asked her for oral sex in 1991 when he was governor of Arkansas.
Hirschfeld's gesture may have complicate talks between Jones's attorneys and Clinton, whose lawyers have offered 7,00,000 dollars to settle the lawsuit. She is asking for a million dollar.
