BJP identifies six Sikh seats; Akalis unconvinced
The BJP and the Akali Dal (Badal) inched towards an agreement on seat sharing on Saturday when the former identified the seats from which the Akali Dal could choose to contest the elections. Union Parliamentary and Tourism Minister Madan Lal Khurana is said to be working out the finer details and negotiating with the Akali Dal on behalf of the State BJP.

BJP meet on poll tickets today
While the BJP is likely to go in for a major surgery in Rajasthan in deciding its candidates for the ensuing Assembly elections, despite its tall talk, it is likely to retain most of its sitting MLAs in Madhya Pradesh and Delhi. The party's Central Election Committee (CEC) begins its meeting today to finalise the lists of its candidates for the four states which go to elections later this month.

BSP to go it alone
The Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) on Sunday made it clear that it would not go in for "any sorts of alliance" with other political parties in the coming assembly polls. The BSP further added that it would field candidates only in seats which it was certain to win.
