Cherian said that though he had already sent described the incidents in a letter to the governor, he thought it necessary to apprise him personally about what happened that eventful night.

Meanwhile, Commissioner of Police Kuldip Sharma reiterated that they would act sternly against those guilty of assaulting the members of the minority community. ````They (the culprits) are certainly going to be apprehended. It is only a matter of identification'', he said.
