Public Relations video conference

EXPRESS NEWS SERVICE
NEW DELHI, Nov 4: Public Relation (PR) practitioners are turning into corporate advisors of organisations, stated N.D. Rajpal, President, Public Relations Society of India (PRSI), while addressing a National Video Conference organised by National Information Centre at the Press Information Bureau, here today. An on-line discussion on the `Corporate Responsibility in PR' was held amongst noted PR practitioners from major cities including Ahmedabad, Calcutta and Hyderabad.

``PR today is the most misunderstood and misinterpreted profession. However, the notion that PR is just an extension of the social wing of the company is changing fast. The PR executives are now seen to have an instrumental role in building the image of the organisation,'' he said.

Dr Narasimha Reddy, Former Director PR, Andhra Pradesh Government; Neelamegham, Regional Chairman (South), Hyderabad; eminent PR consultant Rita Bhimani and Subhas Mukherjee of ITC, Calcutta; Dr Ajit Pathak, Regional Chairman (West), Malti Gaekwad along with other members of the respective Chapters also spoke on the occasion.

The site gives a physical description of the gurdwara as it stands today in the heart of the Capital. It also contains an area map with past and future events, the Sikh calendar, a list of historical gurdwaras in Delhi and the text of the daily prayers.
