S.A.S. NAGAR, Nov 4: Kamal Walia's fine all round show helped Mohali District beat Ludhiana District by 15 runs in the Punjab Inter-District cricket for the M L Markan (u-16) trophy here at the PCA Stadium today.Kamal scored 90 as Mohali totalled 303. Ravi Verma scored 60, Tej got 50 while Ankur Sharma scored 49. For Ludhiana Gaurav Marwah scalped three wickets while Karanbir got two wickets. Ludhiana fell short, being all out for 288 despite a valiant knock of 98 by Varun and an equally brilliant 86 by Rajanbir Singh. Sunil Dutt took four wickets whie Kamal and Harkirat took three each.
Scores: Mohali 303 (Kamal Walia 90, Ravi Verma 65, Tej 50, Ankur Sharma 49, Avinash Kumar 38; Gaurav Marwah 3-36, Karanbir 2-55) beat Ludhiana: 288 (Varun 98, Rajanbir Singh 86, Gaurav 36; Sunil Dutt 4-34, Harkirat 3-40, Kamal Walia 3-70).
