CHENNAI, NOV 5: The `herbal fuel' maker Ramar Pillai kickstarted the trial production of his low-cost fuel in the city on Wednesday. He has decided to start commercial production of the herbal fuel from December 11 from his Virugambakkam unit.According to Ramar (he has decided to drop the casteist surname), who prepared the `wonder herbal fuel' amidst a galaxy of eminent personalities in the city, said that he would manufacture about 10,000 litres of fuel every day once he begins the commercial production. As of now, he will manufacture 500 litres daily and sell the petrol look-alike for Rs 15 per litre and diesel resembling fuel for Rs 7 per litre.
When he starts large-scale production, the cost would be reduced to Rs 7 for the one litre of petrol-like fuel and Rs 2.50 for the diesel-like fuel.
