HYDERABAD, NOV 8: The Enforcement Directorate (ED) has served a notice to P V Prabhakar Rao, son of former prime minister P V Narasimha Rao, summoning him to appear in person before an enforcement officer in the City on November 9 in connection with the urea scam.The notice was pasted on the main entrance gate of Rao's Jubilee Hills residence here as none of his family members received the summons.
The notice was served by Enforcement Officer, Hyderabad, K C Babu, under Section 40 of the Foreign Exchange Regulation (FERA) Act, 1973. It requisitioned Rao's presence at 12.15 pm on November 9 along with specified documents, including his passport, bank passbooks and details of property held by him and his family.
