JALANDHAR, Nov 8: Punjab Congress today took exception to Shiromani Gurudwarak Prabandhak Committee (SGPC) chief Gurcharan Singh Tohra's decision to invite Pakistani Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif to participate in the Khalsa tricentenary celebrations.``At a time Islamabad was involved in instigating the state's youths, such an invitation was hardly a sane step,'' party's state unit chief Amarinder Singh told newsmen here. He also criticised Tohra for what he termed as ``attempts to ignite terrorism in the state by demanding a personal law for the Sikhs.''
``Tohra had earlier fanned terrorism by demanding that Article 25 of the Constitution be scrapped, but Chief Minister Parkash Singh Badal had later agreed to drop that demand,'' the Congress leader said.
