Court orders death for 15 Mujib killers
A bangladesh court has sentenced to death by firing squad 15 ex-military officials on charges of assassinating Bangladesh's founding father, Sheikh Mujibur Rahman, in a coup 23 years ago. District and Sessions Court judge Kazi Golam Rasul, however, acquitted four others on the grounds that there was not enough evidence against them, says a report from Dhaka.

Bihar in grip of `mafia raj'
Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee has reiterated that the law and order situation in Bihar was not at all satisfactory. Talking to reporters at the Patna airport en-route to Gaya to participate in the concluding function of the Buddha Mahatosav, Vajpayee claimed that "mafia raj" was still prevailing in the state. But he refused to make any further comment on the issue.
