Onions up a notch to Rs 35

CHANDIGARH, Nov 8: Onion rates inched up a little to Rs 35 per kg and even Rs 40 per kg in the Sector 26 market today. The small-sized onions, however, were priced at Rs 30 to Rs 32 per kg. Tomato prices came down today as the red orbs were available for anything between Rs 22 and Rs 25 per kg. The rates of cauliflower and cabbage also came down to Rs 16 per kg while French bean was selling at Rs 24 to a kg. Lemon prices dropped to Rs 16 from between Rs 20 and Rs 25 to a kg yesterday. The same was the case with cabbage, which was selling at Rs 16 today against Rs 18 yesterday.

The price of peas went up a notch to Rs 35, a gain of Rs 5.
