Drug-peddler identified
A youth, who was reportedly caught carrying charas, has been identified as Parminder Singh Saini of Kharar. He is not a foreign national as reported earlier. He was found carrying 750 gm of the narcotic, police sources said.One booked for cheating
The City police have arrested Surjit Singh for possessing two scooters with the same registration number. He has been booked for possessing a counterfeit plate and cheating, police sources said.
Cyclist hit
An unknown cyclist was today admitted at PGI after he was hit by a car at the railway crossing near Manimajra. A case has been registered and investigation is continuing.
Man falls from tree, dies
Binder Mehta today died after he fell down from a tree on the dividing road of Sector 7 and Sector 26. According to sources, Binder fell down at 3.15 p.m. when he was trying to climb the tree. He was brought to the PGI where he was d clared brought dead.
Boy hit by scooter
5-year-old Rahul of Mauli Jagran was admitted to PGI with serious head injuries after he was knocked down by a scooterist while he was playing on the road in front of his house. His condition is stated to be serious, but out of danger. A case has been registered.
