Mittal award for Maharogi Samiti

CHANDIGARH, Nov 8: Maharogi Sewa Samiti (Anandwan) founded by the famous social activist Baba Amte and Navjyoti Delhi Police Foundation, set up by India's first IPS officer Kiran Bedi have been selected for the Sat Paul Mittal National award for outstanding services to the society for the year 1998. The award, which carries a cash prize of Rs 1 lakh each and citation will be given on November 14.According to press release of the Nehru Sidhant Kender Trust which was started by Sat Paul Mittal 1983 instituted this award in 1992 after the founders death.
