World fashion institutes to meet in city

NEW DELHI, November 8: Leading fashion institutes from all over the world will meet here tomorrow to deliberate on forming an apex international body for professionalising operations in their respective countries.

The body, to be known as the `International Foundation of Fashion Technology Institute' (IFTTI), would also endeavour to help its members in upgrading their Human Resource Development (HRD) programmes, an official release said here. The meeting, held under the aegis of the National Institute of Fashion Technology is being organised in collaboration with the Fashion Institute of Technology, New York, Nottingham and Trent University (UK) and Institut Francais de la mode, France, it said. The foundation will also contribute towards the establishment of institutional mechanism of cooperation and collaboration among its members, it added.
