Minister comes to rescue of accident victims

EXPRESS NEWS SERVICE
VADODARA, Nov 8: In what could be termed a rare gesture, Roads and Building Minister Savjibhai Korat stopped his car on NH-8 between Anand and Vasad and rescued unfortunate victims of two different road accidents.

Two persons had died and four others seriously injured, when a truck hit a roadside tree and car collided head-on with another vehicle on Sunday afternoon. Though passersby called a number of vehicles passing by for help, none displayed the courtesy to stop.

But Korat, who was passing by the area around 2 pm on his way to Vadodara from Gandhinagar, immediately asked his driver to stop when signalled by the people. He then helped them in removing the injured from the damaged vehicles.
