MSU science students rap union leaders
Students of the Faculty of Science, M S University have condemned the action of the union leaders, who allegedly damaged university property and prevented classes in the Physics department over hostel admissions. The students have said that if the union leaders continued to disturb their classes even on Monday, they would bring it to university Vice-Chancellor Anil Kane's notice and demand action against the accused.

Drawing contest
A three-day programme to mark Children's Day will be organised by the Baroda Citizens' Council from November 12. As many as 500 children, including school-going and street children, are expected to participate in the programmes. While a drawing competition will be held on November 12 at the Planetarium, a rally will be organised from Race Course to Kamatibaug on November 13 and a `bal march' at the Gandhi Nagar Gruh on November 14.

Tournament
A six-day Rubamin Open Baroda Badminton Championships for the Rubamin trophy is being organised jointly by the Rubamin group and Bal Bhavan beginning Monday. The tournament, to be inaugurated by Municipal Commissioner Aloria, will be held at the Indoor stadium, Bal Bhavan, behind Sayajigunj.

Function held
Sri Ramakrishna Rural Development Foundation Trust, Vadodara has taken up various welfare and developmental activities in Pasva village in Savli taluka. A special function was organised there on Sunday in which area MLA Khumansinh Chauhan, besides others, participated and appealed the gathering to help trust members in their mission.

Youths assaulted
Surat: Two youths of the city had to be hospitalised after they were severely bashed up by residents of a society in the Katargam area for harassing a woman on the phone, the Katargam police said. According to information, two residents of Adajan Patia and a friend of theirs had been teasing the women for a long time. The victim, after consulting her neighbours and friends, laid a trap and invited the three to her house on Saturday. As soon as they landed, they were bashed up by the residents. While two youths are undergoing treatment at the hospital, the third managed to escape on his motorcycle.
