Sachin Tendulkar belts Zimbabwe into submission
Sachin Tendulkar was at his matchless best on Sunday batting to a different plane altogether to blast his 20th century in one-day internationals as India smashed the Zimbabweans by seven wickets in the Coca Cola Trophy cricket tournament at the Sharjah stadium. In the process India remained firmly on course for a berth in next Friday's final.

Paes-Bhupathi win sixth title
The third-seeded Indian pair of Mahesh Bhupathi and Leander Paes won the doubles title at the $2.25 million Paris Indoor Open when they outclassed top-seeds Jacco Eltingh and Paul Haarhuis in straight-sets. Bhupathi and Paes scored a 6-4, 6-2 victory -- their 50th win in 61 matches.

Holland script a unique "grand slam"
Olympic and world champions Holland completed a unique "grand slam" of men's hockey by lifting the Champions Trophy, beating hosts Pakistan 3-1 in the final. Holland became the only side to hold all three prestigious hockey titles. They won the Olympic gold in Atlanta in 1996 and the World Cup at home in Utrecht in June this year.
