Buddha of films feels for loss of innocence and disintegration of family ties
Eminent filmmaker Buddhadeb Dasgupta wants to probe deeper through his cinema into the spiritual vacuum in our lives caused by an urban consumerist milieu and receding innocence. He feels creative inquiry should be made a rule in making films waging a war against empty social morality and greyness in life.

Fashion plate or fashion victim?
The Oxford dictionary describes the word fashion as `current popular custom or style, especially in dress'. Fashionable has the meaning `favoured by high society'. It got me ruminating, who are the fashion icons of our high society?

My Den
Gary Lawyer, singer and musician, needs the wide, open spaces to think and create. Therefore, while his den has a canopy of the sky in the day and stars at night, he stays firmly rooted to his balcony.
