CALCUTTA, Nov 11: Sandeep Kirtane caused the first upset of the Futures Tennis Circuit singles event at the South Club today, defeating seventh seed Harsh Mankad 6-0, 6-4. The other seeds sailed through to the third round without any hiccups. None of the singles matches today went beyond two sets.It was a different story in the doubles with the Indian pair of Syed Fazaluddin and Mustafa Ghouse stretching top seeded Oleg Ogorodov and Vadim Kutsenko of Uzbekistan to three sets. The Indian pair grabbed the first set 6-4 after being 4-1 up. Kutsenko and Ogorodov then raced to a 4-0 lead in the second set before the Indians made it 4-3. The seventh seed did fight back in the second set, but it was too late. Sandeep Kirtane won6-4 to set up a third round clash against top seed Oleg Ogorodov.
