GSPCA seeks help in shifting strays
The Gujarat Society for Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (GSPCA) has sought the VMC's help to transport stray cattle to remote villages of Chhotaudepur and Rajpipla. In a letter to Deputy Municipal Commissioner (General) I B Peerzada, GSPCA's Snehal Bhatt said they were ready to shift 50 donkeys and 100 cows to the villages, which would not only prove helpful to the locals there, but also solve the stray cattle menace to an extend.Safety seminar
The Vadodara Division of the Western Railways will organise a Safety Seminar on November 12 to create awareness regarding safe handling of Liquid Petroleum Gas and other petroleum products. The seminar will be held at the Pratapnagar Railway Auditorium at 10.30 am under the chairmanship of Commissioner of Railway Safety, Western Circle, Rajamani.
Meditation camp
The Vadodara Vipassana Committee will organise a day-long meditation camp for old meditators on November 15. The camp will be organised at 5, Kalandi Society, near Kailash Society, behind Akota Atithi Gruh between 1 and 7 pm. Those interested can call on 325293/434630 for details.
Road closed
The road behind Khanderao Market will remain closed for vehicular traffic for three months beginning November 16, as the Vadodara Municipal Corporation will carry out work to convert in into a RCC road.
Paper presented
City-based dermatologist Vivek Jain presented a paper on `Spiritual Well Being and a Jain Doctor' at the first All-India Jain Doctors' Convention which was held at Tijara, Rajasthan on November 7 and 8.
School funfair
The Navrachana Higher Secondary School will organise a funfair on the Jyoti ground, Karelibaug on November 14 from 5 pm. The funfair will be open to all.
