VADODARA, Nov 11: The Central Gujarat Chamber of Commerce (CGCC) has urged the Gujarat Electricity Board (GEB) to provide uninterrupted power supply to the industrial sector. The representation was made during a meeting with the GEB chairman Nalin Bhatt on Monday.
Welcoming Bhatt, CGCC president Bhupendra Patel said like Narmada was the lifeline of Gujarat, electricity was as important for industries. Pointing out that proper supply of electricity was necessary for the state's development and to attract new industries, he observed that laws are for men and not vice-versa and hence the GEB should adopt humanitarian attitude towards consumers.

He said the Board would also consider whether the zone offices could be authorise to give ``average bills''.
Among those present in the meeting included CGCC vice-president Champakbhai Thakkar, Board Member N R Waghmare and honorary secretary Rampal Gupta.
