According to sources, Mohabbat Singh Tuli, a well-known and respected figure in the city was arrested last night after the police, who were investigating the tanker fire case at Tuli petrol pump at Khapri village that killed a petrol pump employee a week ago, found that diesel and petrol were being regularly adulterated in the premises of the pump.

Further investigations were carried in this direction as the police recorded statements of earlier employees of the pump and Tuli was finally arrested Yesterday on charges of carrying out adulteration activities in his petrol pump.

Ironically Tuli, who also owns a number of five star hotels in the city, has always been preaching and assuring people against the wrong practise of adulteration of oils in petrol pumps.
