CHANDIGARH, Nov 12: The City police has booked a Haryana policeman living in Baldev Nagar in Ambala on the charges of duping a Sector 37 resident and marrying her.According to a complaint filed by the woman, Haryana Police Constable Balwinder Singh, a resident of Baldev Nagar, married her in 1995.
"It was only sometime back that she discovered that he was already married to a Patiala resident. Then she complained to us. We have registered a case of cheating," a police official said. He added that investigations were on to determine whether the woman had been raped. "If necessary, we will also register a case of rape," the official said.
