Two cases of suicide
The City police registered two cases of suicide from different parts of the city on Wednesday. In the first case, one Narendrabhai Nagjibhai Gandhi, a resident of village Chhani, attempted to end his life by consuming an insecticide. Personal problems is said to be the reason behind the extreme step. In the second case, one Meenaben Bhogilal Premchandani, a resident of Vijaynagar Society on Harni Road, attempted to kill herself after some minor arguements with her mother. Investigations are on, the police said.

Four thefts
As many as four miscellaneous cases of theft were reported from different areas of the city on Wednesday night. According to the police, clothes and footwear worth Rs 7,000 were stolen from Iqbalbhai Ghulam Rasool Mistry's house in the Akota area. In another case, a catheter worth Rs 4,400 from the dickey of a scooter (GBP-2119) parked outside Sumangal Chambers in Dandia Bazar and a temple bell worth Rs 250 from Sankatmochan Hanuman temple in Vishnuprasad Society of Shastribaug area, was stolen. A buffalo worth Rs 10,000 of one Dineshbhai Amarsinh Rajput, a resident of Vadadala Road in Tarsali area, was taken away, the police said, adding investigations are on.

Purse stolen
One Mukeshbhai Chotubhai Desai, a resident of Ankleshwar, in a complaint with the Sayajigunj police station on Thursday claimed that his purse containing cash Rs 930 and important documents was stolen, while he was getting down from a bus at the Railway Station. He said he had boarded the bus at the Mandvi bus stand.

Thefts reported
In two separate cases of theft registered by the city police on Tuesday, goods worth Rs 6,850 were stolen from different parts of the city. According to the police, a pump worth Rs 4,000 was stolen from Sanjay Nagar Park colony on Sama Road. In the second case, silver ornaments worth Rs 2,850 were stolen from one Shantilal Jethabhai Vasava's house near Bapod octroi post. According to the complainant, one Rekhaben of the same locality was involved in the theft.
